North Virginia 1988:
My mom and I were having one of those fights again. My dad passed away when I was 5 and it's been hard on us; we moved and tried to forget what happened. I guess I regret this now, but I told my mom I'd leave and not come back. I packed together a sleeping bag, flashlight and some food. I stormed out of the house and made my way up the hilly region of our hometown. Once I found a comfortable spot, I rolled out the sleeping bag and tried to get some sleep. If I got any, it was restless. As I opened my eyes to look at the watch, it felt like I was under the presence of another being. I saw a mild silhouette of a rather large animal-like creature, but it had freakishly humane features too. I thought nothing of it and turned my head trying to get some more sleep. In the morning I ate the last of my food, and decided to apologize to my mother. It was just the wrong time and place that got me angry. As I knocked on the door of my house, no one came, until a bit later an elderly man with an odd hair-style came out and asked what I was doing. I just muttered and ran away. As I was walking through the streets a young girl remarked, "Look at dat poor man, he loogs so sad," pointing towards me. Her mother said, "You must be imagining things, there is nobody there!" When looking straight at me. The girl looked at me once again and kept on walking, looking at the cemetery to the right of her. I was very puzzled, nothing was making sense at all. As I walked into the cemetery I looked for my mother's name, in case she had died. To my surprise, I didn't find her gravestone, but mine! I apparently died in 1988. All of it was too much for me, so I sprinted out of the cemetery and went by the news store. The latest articles were from 2013, which is 25 years after the day I left my mother's house. I went back to the spot where I slept the previous night. The next morning the weather was terrible. I made my way back to my town and knocked once more at my previous house. This time, a police officer came out and asked me for my name. It turns out my mother had called the police to go searching for me. I was extremely happy to be back home, but what still bugged me was the fact that the police had searched exactly where I slept, but I never took my belongings with me that day.
