Sunday Music Update - April 17th, 2022

Hey everyone, this is Jovin, and I’m here with this week’s music update! First I’m going to run through the newest arrival on the Billboard, which is As it Was, by Harry Styles. This song was released 18 days ago, on the last day of March. At that time, it appeared on the Spotify charts, but only now has it hit the Billboard at the #1 position. It pushed We Don’t Talk About Bruno off of the top ten, the first time this has happened since its release. That’s it for the Billboard this week.

Next, there are some new releases I want to talk about, starting with Familia, a twelve song album done fabulously by Camila Cabello. In the past, Cabello has inspired her songs with her Cuban-Mexican background, but in this album, she really lets all of it out, with two songs sung entirely in Spanish, something Cabello has never done before. Familia also contains vocals from her actual familia, with her father and her cousin (who is also featured on the cover). This album also includes two singles, Don’t Go Yet and Bam Bam (feat. Ed Sheeran). So far, the most popular new song in the album is psychofreak (feat. WILLOW), which is charged with lyrics about not exactly fitting in.

The other two releases are First Class, by Jack Harlow, which has brought him up to #1 on the Spotify charts, and That’s Hilarious, by Charlie Puth.

Some more new releases are: Versions of Me, by Anitta, including her hit Envolver, Crazy What Love Can Do, by David Guetta, Becky Hill, and Ella Henderson, Neck & Wrist, by Pusha T, JAY-Z, and Pharrell Williams, and All 4 Nothing (I’m So In Love), by Lauv.

This was your weekly music update for April 17th, and I’ll be back next week. (Music is still Magic!)
